Halloween Cupcakes

Non sono un’amante dei cupcakes. Per niente. Per me sono troppo dolci e zuccherosi, ma una cosa bisogna ammetterla. Sono bellissimi.

E’ incredibile quello che riescono a fare qui con i cupcakes e costruiscono delle vere e proprie torte giganti…
Per chi di voi comunque volesse provare a cimentarsi quanto meno con la ricetta base qui tutti i dettagli e un sacco di foto per la festa di Halloween!

I’m not a great fan of the cupcakes. For me they’re too sweet and sugary, but I have really to admit that they are gorgeous! It’s incredible how some people can create gigantic cakes of whatever shape and anything…love this. So here is the simple recipe for those of you would give it a try and some pinterest pictures of cupcakes I found!

Easy Halloween Costumes

Settimana prossima preparatevi per un altro meraviglioso giveaway….

Ecco sui costumi io sono un po’ pigra…Non ho molta voglia di cercare, fare e sbrigare. E spendere, diciamocelo. Soprattutto per i bambini che se lo mettono comunque un anno e via.
Il fatto è che da quando siamo negli States, Halloween è diventata una delle feste più belle, emozionante e divertenti per i bambini e anche per noi.
E allora giusto giusto vi metto un paio di idee semplici e originali.

With all the Halloween costumes I have to admit I’m lazy. Yeah, actually I like more the decoration part than the dress up thing. And I really don’t love to spend a lot of money for kids costumes because it will las really only for one day….BUT for the kids I try it hard and I try to buy or make what they really love. Halloween, since we moved here in America, is really fun for them and all the atmosphere is incredible!

Halloween PillowsI cuscini di Halloween

Con il divano ikea sono arrivati 6 cuscini coordinati arancioni che ho subito sostituito con altri colorati. Il “tutto arancione” non mi piaceva e così per 3 anni i copricuscini arancioni del divano sono rimasti nell’armadio. Fino a quest’anno quando mettendo a posto li ho ritirati fuori e ….arancione=halloween.

Bisognava personalizzarli e quindi ho tirato fuori la stoffa avanzata dalle bandierine e del feltro nero e bianco.
Our Ikea sofa had six coordinated orange pillows that I immediatly changed with other more colorful ones. I didn’t like the “total-orange-look”. So since then I had these pillow covers in the closet. A couples weeks ago I decided to reuse them for Halloween, of course!
1. Le scarpe della strega.
Ho ritagliato dalla stoffa a righe arancio e nere, due lunghi rettangoli. Sono andata ad occhio partendo dall’alto del cuscino. Ho ripiegato i bordi e cucito i pezzi di stoffa con la macchina da cucire.
Poi ho disegnato due scarpe su un foglio e l’ho usato come traccia per le due scarpe sul feltro nero.
1. The Witches Shoes
I had some scrap fabric from my bunting and I simply cut two long rectangles and I eye-measured them from the top of the pillow and sewn them on it.
After that I draw the silhouette of two shoes and have cut them onto black felt. I pinned them on the pillow and machine-sewn them.
Le ho fissate sul cuscino con degli spilli andando un po’ sopra le calze e ho cucito tutto intorno.
I pinned the shoes on the pillow and sew them.
Ho aggiunto poi un fiocco di raso arancione che ho cucito a mano sullo scarpone.
I then added an orange ribbon (hand sewn).

Ed ecco il cuscino fatto in mezz’ora!
And this is the result after half an hour!
Ed ecco gli altri due cuscini.
Per questi semplicemente ho disegnato 3 triangoli e la bocca della zucca e poi ritagliato sul feltro, fissati con spilli e cuciti e anche per il gatto e la luna ho usato lo stesso procedimento. Con i disegni e il feltro vi potete sbizzarrire quanto volete!E se non volete cucire potete semplicemente incollare il feltro con della colla a caldo o della colla per stoffe…più semplice di così!
Here are the other three pillows. I just cut some other silhouettes on some felt and it is really easy! Withe felt you can actually draw whatever you havee in mind and if you don’t wanna sew just use some glue.
