San Francisco is Gotham City for a day #batkid

18/11/2013 by Elena Leave a Comment

Last Friday here in San Francisco something incredible happened.
Bay Area Make-A-Wish Foundation made a little kid suffering of Leukemia come TRUE and the city became Gotham city pfor one day and he was Batkid rescueing a lady, putting the bad guy in jail and driving in an amazing BatMobile.
It was amazing how all the people were there to support and cheer the little cute batman.
Even Barak Obama sent a message and I really bet that batkid had an amazing day…

Good Job Batkid!

Goooood morning!!

How was your night? Mine was amazing. I have to tell you that for us it is a very special night because we don’t really celebrate Halloween in Italy. We do now a little bit but there is no real “trick or treating”.
So going around with the kids with all these decorated houses and adorable kids, great customes….it is magical for me.
I really love this because it I feel like in a movie. Yes, because we always only saw that in a movie.
If I had to think at Halloween, I always thought at “E.T.”. THAT was Halloween for me.
And the moment we moved here…it became real thing, so you can actually imagine my excitement!

My kids were dressed up as George Washington (or Mozart or Benjamin Franklin or Mozart…or whatever you like) and Flamenco dancer and now we have all those candies that I have to hide.
I found out that our neighborhood here in San Francisco is pretty famous for the Trick or treat and I enjoyed some stations with the wine for the grown ups and some very well decorated houses.
We’re in Noe Valley and all the merchants on 24th street are open to distribute candies..so fun!

So the kids are at home now….they definitely went to bed too late (my bad) but we all had an amazing evening.
Hope you had lots of fun too!
And don’t forget to partecipate to the 1200$ Giveaway:

Halloween in San Francisco

29/10/2013 by Elena Leave a Comment

Every day after I pick up the kids at school, I drive all around the neighborhoods near school and home in order to look at the Halloween decorations of the houses.

The kids have fun and my job is to stop and take pictures whenever they scream “haunted House” or “Scary House”!
Some of the houses are really scary and with all dead heads and bloods everywhere.
We’re ready but I have to buy the candies for the trick or treating because I think this year we’ll go for a quick tour and then we’ll stay home.

Whate are your plans for thursday night?
